You only need one kidney to live a healthy long live; Nature gives us a spare!  If you are healthy and over 18 you could be a candidate. Just fill out the donor questionnaire (& make sure to note Steve Dulock as recipient)  and eligibility will be determined.

The recuperation period is usually fairly quick, generally 2 weeks.

The cost of your evaluation and surgery will be covered by Steve's insurance.  You might also qualify for travel and lost wage expenses.

After you donate a kidney, the one remaining kidney enlarges and is able to do approximately 75-80% of the work that the two kidney had done previously.

All voucher donors are prioritized for a living donor transplant in the rare case that they need a kidney transplant in the future.
